I picked up the used ARB today...whew what a drive....been in the car all day...Got home and went to look for the instructions that I have laying around for the other one and can not find them anywhere...does anyone have the install instructions or can they post a link?

Remove the old bumper and tow hooks. Tow hooks = 4 bolts Bumper=6 or 8 more (I think)

Slip ARB onto the end of the frame and then bolt it on. . . You can use the bolts that held the tow hooks on to bolt the bumper to the frame

Cool so thats all there is to it? Where do the plates go?

The used bumper I picked up had some plates with it...maybe they were there because he had a winch at one time...I do not think my non winch bumper has the plates he gave me....I will have to check tommorow when I go back over to my house... I did not get any bolts with the bumper...can I just reuse the ones I take off the stock bumper and tow hooks or do I need to go to the parts store before I start the installl...Its been a while since Ive looked at the other bumper I have and can not remember what all came in that huge box.

See my previous post, you can use the tow hook bolts. You can recycle some of the other bumper bolts as well if you want to fill in all the holes.

Yes, pretty sure the plate is for a winch. If you want to fill the "hole" in the middle of the bumper I suppose you could bolt the plate in, it goes smack dab in the middle of the bumper, between the frame rails IIRC.

There are 2 small rectangular plates 3" x 2" or so with 2 holes in them. About 3/8" thick. They are spacers for the tow hook mounts. There is a lip on the ARB that prevents the tow hooks from going back on without the spacers. Are these the plates you are talking about?

I would say that qualifies as all day. :frown:

You might consider buying a higher grade bolt--I recently did the install and the bolts don't look like they are even a grade 5--keep in mind most of the Toyota bolts are grade 8.

Thanks everyone....I got it put on this morning and it was worth the drive....Just got to wire up the indicator lights now.

Are you bringing this rig to GSMTR?

(Oh, you need to update your sig line. :) )
