Here is what I know. ARB issued a part number for the FJ Cruiser bull bar and is using that number so 4WD shops can preorder.

Preorders are ranked in the order they are placed so the earlier you place your order the earlier you will get the bumper.

Preordering is simply a mechanism for reserving the bumpers once they are released.

Here is what you need to do:
  • Call your local ARB dealer (NOT ARB USA) and tell them you want them to order part # 3420100
  • Explain to them that since pricing is not released for this that you want ARB to call the shop BEFORE they ship it (this allows you an out of the price is too high)
  • Sit back and wait

Your local shop may want you to put a deposit on the bar.

Additional information.

I emailed ARB the following message:

I recently placed an order with my local 4WD shop for an ARB front bumper for the new FJ Cruiser, item # 3420100. It is my understanding that this bumper is still being developed and as such, nothing has officially been released. I came across a picture of a silver FJ Cruiser with an ARB front bumper http://www.fjcruiserforums.com/forum...ead.php?t=1364 and was wondering if this is close to what the production bumper is going to look like?

Here is their response:

The part number for the FJ Cruiser ARB bar is 3420100. The photos you have seen were of the prototype. The final production bar will be similar with only minor changes. We are now taking orders from our dealers for this bar. We are airfreighting 5 pre-production units this Friday which will be supplied to Toyota for their training/show FJ Cruisers. Another 5 will be in a container next week. We are making 50 units in early April for arrival in the USA in early May and another 50 units in early May for arrival in early June. Please pass this info on to the FJCruisers Forum.

Enjoy all.

Meant to add that since I originally drafted this a day or so ago, ARB released pricing. It will vary from shop to shop.

looks weird to me, the headlights are too close to the center upright section. looks like it would kill the light patern down the center?

That's the way my 70 bar is... it's really not that bad but it does distort some light in the very middle. I have H4's with brighter bulbs and have a set of fogs in the middle. I too would rather see the bars closer together but I think they usually center them on the frame rails...

Hey at least it's not that hideous stocker!

So, is the brush guard listed on the Toyota website an 3rd party accessory? I was assuming its an accessory you add at the dealer. Is this ARB brush guard different from the one listed on the FJ website?

BTW, I think the ARB guard looks sweet!!!

The ARB is a replacement bumper and is not even close the same category as a typical brush guard. Avoid brush guards; they are evil and typically considered to be damage multipliers meaning that they will do more damage if involved in an accident.

How does it fit together with the front skid plate? Or does the ARB bull bar come with its own front skid?

What's the approach angle like with the ARB?

Bumping my question up. Curiosity of a future customer..
