April Meeting-4/13/09 in APEX

I'm not sure who can turn rotors on Sundays, but I'll check with Merchants and a couple others if needed.

Another twist I'd like to throw out... My wife and I talked about the meeting and we'd like to propose having the meeting at our house in Apex. The other advantage for me is that I could also take the rotors off on Saturday and get them turned.

If everyone would prefer Ryan's, that's fine with me too. We can have another meeting at my house.

Darn, I won't be able to make this one either.

I'll make it to a meeting one of these days!

I'm with Stephen's idea for the fundraiser sounds like a very deserving cause. The meeting on the 13th is definately good for me in HP. Hopefully we can have some cards by then to distribute. Greg that new pic looks like it should be on the cover of Trails- The sunset from that view is SWEET!

I would not be able to have the meeting at my house untill the last weekend of the month. However I am opening my house for a homom always. Whatever is the best to get the most members to show up is what I want to do.

So do we have a firm plan for this weekend?

I am totally in favor of supporting the Greensboro School as well,.

I will not be making the meeting this month. I'll be down in Upstate Cruiser Land, Spartanburg, SC, doing a river kayak race.

Clint are you okay with having the meeting in your neck of the woods? Holly Springs.

Sounds like it's going to be a small crowd but still okay. Sounds like the meeting will benefit you better at your location than HP this time round.

Please post up details if you can verify.

Thanks.

I'm fine with having the meeting at my place. I would propose to start at 10am on Sunday. My wife is planning to cook lunch for us. The menu is ribs, chicken, potato salad, baked beans, and some sort of desert.

I can post up directions if needed, but I'm easy to reach from either 55, 64, or hwy 1. I can also send out an email to the list.

I have a lot better chance of getting my cruiser to Holly Springs. The Rustiest Cruiser in the Carolinas will be there (hopefully!)

I need to do rear brake pads on a 100. Is that really considered a HAMON or just regular maintenance? I may just do them in my driveway. However access to a floor jack and an extra set of hands would be the heat.

Hello all,
It's been a bit since I've had the opportunity to check-in to mud. In fact, I couldn't find the regional groups after they took them off the main forum page. I just saw the tabs today, and that's how I got here.

Anyway, I'm into my 8th month of fatherhood, and I think the wife is ready to let me out of the house (besides to get the mail) this Sunday. I wanted to make sure that it was ok to RSVP since the meeting is at a member's house as opposed to a restaurant or whatnot.

As far as the HAMOM, I will also need to rebuild the front on my 62. Since there are some of those already in the works, I'd love to sit-back/ sip-back and learn. I reside in SW Durham.

Lemmme know. Thanks!

Tom

Tom, we invite you to join us and would be glad to have you around Sunday, always good to see new faces. If you would like bring the 62 and we can try and tackle it as well, Clint will be 50% of the way there by sunday morning. If that doesn't work bring it along in the next HAMOM.

Andrew, bring the 100 series and we can put some hands on the brakes and knock it out fairly quick Sunday.

I'll bring my rig, but I won't have parts yet. Looking forward to meeting you all on Sunday!

If you don't have parts, you can order a knuckle kit which includes trunion bearings, seals, and gaskets from Iron Pig Off Road. IPOR also sells Koyo wheel bearings. If you order early Wednesday, you will receive the parts either Thursday or Friday.

Iron Pig Off Road : Toyota 4WD experts

I ordered my parts from IPOR and the bearings are all Koyo (same as Toyota OE) and the seals and gaskets look the same or very similar to Toyota OE.

If you aren't ready to tackle your knuckles Sunday, that's OK. You are welcome to come over and hang out.

55 miles from driveway to driveway for me! Might be a bit far, would take me about 1+30 to get there and about $50 in gas round trip, hmmmmm......Still might be fun to try!

You should hook up with Jason since he lives near 87 & 27, and split some gas money...
