Damn. I would have that that the LX570 and the Infiniti QX80 would be much closer in sales numbers.

The QX can be had in the high 50's and low 60's so much more affordable. Also bigger than the 200. I would compare more to the sequoia.

QX80 starting MSRP is $63250. $78325 fully loaded. I guess that would put it between the LC and the LX.

I would guess its the price point of the Q more then anything. I have looked at them a couple times. I just cant get over the exterior styling on its nose or I would probably have bought one.
There is a whole lot of bang for the buck with the Q now days, especially with the pricing GM has on its new generation triplets. An Escalade's hitting 90s and Denali's in the 80s, then the LC in the 80s and LX in the 90s. That Q is a bargain. I think people are starting to catch on. I see a lot more Qs on the road now days.
I really hadn't notice Q being larger then the LX. I sure didn't think it was Sequoia size.

The sequoia is about the largest SUV on the market it is in width, Other then the Suburban sized GM triplets and the Ford Expedition EL Twins are longer, The sequoia is actually wider and almost as long I think the Sequoia sort of splits the difference in length with std length GMs/Ford VS. the long GMs/Fords.

It has always been my understanding that the Q was the US version of Patrol the main competitor of the LC/LX globally.

We were looking at the Q80 as well but it was much taller than the LX (higher step in, more difficult to put baby in a carseat) plus my wife hated the styling and the wasted space of the 2nd row captain's chairs. On top of that, we already knew that the LX will last forever and our experience with an Infiniti G35 showed that the Infiniti starts falling apart after 70K miles.

I also drove the Sequoia but hated the cheap interior pieces lifted from a Tundra (it's okay in my Tundra but sub-par in a $60K SUV).

The Q is the luxury version of the Nissan Patrol available overseas.

With the 3rd row down in the "Q" the cargo floor slants high to low/front to rear....much like the GM whales.

I would sure hope the Q being a body on frame real SUV based off the Patrol, would be much more durable then the G35 car. I never owned one, but if they ever were to fix the odd styling I might consider it. I really like the LC/LX better then all the other options on the market. I just know the price point really hurts them. That's not to say I would want Toyota to cheapen the product to drive down the price. Just saying I have no doubt it gets overlooked by the masses that don't really understand what they are getting for that hefty price tag we have all paid for our 200s.

One of my 200s would be a Sequoia if they would ever get on with passing the new improved Tundra interiors over to it. Sequoias are incredibly well thought out when it comes to use of interior space. Probably one of if not the most roomy vehicles for passengers in production today. I agree 100% that the Sequoia interiors really need a lot of work to make it worth the bucks. The new 14+ high end model Tundra interior's would do the trick if they would just go ahead and put them in the Sequoia. I have to say I am really shocked they have not done it already. I expected it to happen this year for sure, but still waiting. Who knows what the hold up is.
