Apple CarPlay Interrupting AM/FM Radio issues

I listen to news radio in my driveway when I decompress after getting home from work or as a i’m planning my drive to wherever I’m going, I have Allle CarPlay enabled so I can use Google Maps.

Obviously I can easily solve my problem by streaming my local news radio station, but AM/FM is free and I don’t have to deal with going through an App to get to it.

The issue I’m experiencing is that when I browse on my iPhone to sh**post on forums and reddit, or just browsing in Safari, the AM/FM radio is interrupted, constantly.

The easiest thing I can do is turn off bluetooth on my phone, but I’d rather things just work than going through yet another step, especially if I’m about to start driving someplace. I noticed a similar issue with my 2021 Venza before getting rid of it for the 250, but it was never this bad.

Is anyone experiencing the same thing, and if so, is there a fix?

Every vehicle with Bluetooth and iPhones does this when using Safari to my understanding. Even our Tahoe did this when I didn’t use CarPlay and was sitting waiting for our curbside or parked somewhere.

The only solution I’ve known, is not use Safari on your phone when it’s linked to the car.

Auto switching bluetooth between vehicle, headphones, etc is utterly annoying IMO and I wish it could be disabled.

I am having same problem. Really annoying. I have been all up in settings but cannot figure this out.
