It's just money. Can't take it with you

No way a 60 is bigger than the 5th gen! There's probably more room in the 80 as it's slightly boxier than the 4Runner but they're likely real close. I love the 4Runner but I think in a few years once the wife and I are settled in CO and discuss having a little Waldo we're going to invest in a used 200. Perfect size for us and can finance a 4 or 5 year old one for a decent price if we shop around. Too bad they're discontinuing the FJ cruiser. Lauren surprisingly really likes those lol. However, I don't know how I feel about them. They're like the Toyota bro-mobiles

I got beside a 5th gen in traffic yesterday and I was trying to eyeball a comparison. I think the 80 MIGHT be a little longer in the third row cargo area, but not by much. I bet the cruiser is wider. I am sure the other guy thought I was trying to race or something. A friend of mine got a FJ when they had a child and say it was a HUGE mistake. They loved the look, but have the hardest time getting the kid in and out of the back seat with the half doors.

I've had both. They are similar in size. The 5th gen feels slightly wider in the front seat. Back seat feels the same. The cargo areas are close. I would say the 80 cargo area might be a little deeper, but not by much.

The 3rd row in the 5th gen was a joke, so we passed on that option.

The 3rd row in the 80 was better, but still nothing an adult would want to ride in any further than across town. I took the 80 third row out and never looked back. In fact, if anyone wants some 80 3rd row seats, let me know.

Got a friend with a 07 4runner having a issue with auto transmission in 3rd gear between 32mph and 48mph is getting what he called "Chadder" said vehicle shakes somewhat... He took it to Amco and the guy told him he needed his computer flashed... Anyone else heard of this?

It's a sealed transmission....

It its over 100,000 miles just take it to dealer and have them flush and change the fluid. It's a $200 job and is suggested even though Toyota calls it "lifetime" fluid.

At least this guy has a sense of humor

Here is a weird one for you guys. I was driving home in stop and go traffic on the interstate last night. I am stopped and all if a sudden the engine dies. I cranked it back up and had not problems the rest of the way home. Anyone ever had that or know what might cause it? 91 FJ80

That is weird..

My 4Runner has done that before. I was pulling into my driveway slowly (it's a slight incline) and the engine just died. No sputtering or anything, just smooth died like I turned the key off. Started up like normal and hasn't done it since. That was like 4 months or so ago.

It was like I was driving a manual and killed it or something. I am wondering if the automatic transmission caught a bad shift or something and killed itself, but I have never heard of that or experienced it before. I started watching the RPMs to see if there was an idle problem and nothing seemed irregular there either.
