I am a novice wrench turner, but an old salt when it comes to professional carpet cleaning. I am wondering if anyone has tomorrow, Tuesday, off and would be interested in helping me diagnose my '90 62 in trade for some carpet cleaning.

The problem, that I'm having, is that even though I have no issues at cruising speeds, whenever I come to a stop, she wants to stall out. I'm having to double foot my stops and I don't like it. I've gone through the FSM and have done the things that I can, but I don't know how to check timing or whether the injectors are firing correctly. The engine is the 3fe

I'd love to trade out what I know for a few things that I don't. I am in Cary, but willing to travel locally or I can set up in my in-laws' garage in Apex.

Either respond here or call/ text me at 919-306-1935.

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas,
Terry

i would check for vacuum leaks, and intake leaks between the filter housing and the throttle body, any loose clamps or cracked hoses will let un metered air in and throw off your air to fuel ratio making the engine miss.

Have you checked your oil I have seen 60's want to stall out if they are low on oil not out but 2-3 qts low. I know it sounds silly but take 2 min to check then you can move on to the vac tubes.

Oil level is good and all vac tubes were replaced about 1,5 years ago. I did some trouble shooting last night and found that my number two cylinder isn't firing. I'm getting spark and plug is gapped correctly. I pulled injector connector, with truck running, and no difference in performance. I'm going to pull EFI today and check that injector. Hopefully, that will get it straightened out.
