Greg - the Dunlop is far from a mud terrain. Looks like a cross between an AT and a hwy tire. Not sure if this link will work, if not go to tireracka nd look at 255/85 - it has a pretty good picture of the Dunlop

Sorry, back when I bought my 255 they had a Dunlop Mud Terrain on Tirerack, not that cheesy hgwy tire they're trying to pass off as an All-Terrain. That has to be the lamest tread pattern ever for an "All Terrain" tire.

Dayton tires use to offer the 255/85R/16 size on their Timberline A/T line of tires D-rated. Dayton are a sideline co. of Bridgestone. I ran a set on my work truck for 2 years. Great in snow! Too much sidewall flex for my liking; went back to a 265/75R/16 E, much better for the weight I carry (300 gallon spray tank). On the 2000 LC,I run 265/75R/16 Firestone AT's and am really pleased with them.

Cooper offers their Discoverer S/T in the 255 size. It's a good all terrain with a good tread pattern.

I know a lot of dudes in Australia swear by that tire.

Can't find any pics of the Cooper in the 255 size, but here's a picture of some other size to get an idea of tread pattern:
