I wonder what the other 5% to completion is? New motor, bent frame, new axle shafts and gears = about 5% is my guess with that one.

Let's be optimistic - maybe just truck nutz, a CD and garter belt for the rearview mirror?

Any one of those would be more than 5% except axle shafts and gears... but since they are 2 1/2 ton rockwells under there I doubt it. Gearing with the tires would bring it close to stock if they are 6.72 gears. I've yet to actually see a rockwell axle break on anything short of the 900hp rock hopper I saw at johnson valley years ago.

I think ramon might be a little closer on this. Since he converted to a mechanical injector wiring for the engine is out and i'm guessing it came with a 6.5 diesel from the factory.... maybe the new transmission needs have the linkage hooked back in and the dash put back together.

Is it bad when I sent the link to andrea she told me to sell the 80 buy that and they buy the 85 4runner i've been eying for a crawler. The only stipulation was that she drives DD the truck and I DD the focus.

I guess I have her step dad to blame for her love of seriously big trucks.
Or maybe she just wants to be in this music video

Did he mention if TruckNutz are installed or not?

No he didn't but since there is such an interest in this i'm going to make sure they are a raffle price in September :p

I have seen stock Rockwell shafts break in buggies with 400ish hp. They are definitely not invincible!

Agree. We saw a couple of snaps in Harlan '09. Of course these were the same guys that had their rigs' names spray painted on the side, so needless to say they weren't exactly there to "finesse" the trails.

I just choked I laughed so hard thinking about Jethro.

goood ole Jethro.............. hey you boys got a broomstick ????

meh... they dont do it for me, and tons of time and money to get less than stock value of the truck
there is a 2000 Super duty up here with 20'' lift and 52's for sale as well.

and as for the truck nutz, are they legal in NC anymore; I think SC banned them.
Just hate to win another coveted AL prize just for it to stay on the shelf. :D
