Just got an email from the guy.... needs new pads and the brakes worked with.... they feel spungy but still stop.

I've yet to actually see a rockwell axle break on anything short of the 900hp rock hopper I saw at johnson valley years ago.
I have seen stock Rockwell shafts break in buggies with 400ish hp. They are definitely not invincible!
RAgree. We saw a couple of snaps in Harlan '09. Of course these were the same guys that had their rigs' names spray painted on the side, so needless to say they weren't exactly there to "finesse" the trails.
