I was headed to Myrtle and randomly saw a junk yard and thought i would stop in. It was a you-pull kind of place, $2 to get in and $5 min. Not a ton of cars but as i got to the back tucked in the corner was a Red 60. I wasnt really looking for anything so i just snagged the tool bag but if anyone needs anything it was actually pretty rust free on body and Frame, just about everything was still under the hood including Engine, Transmission, carb, boosters, alternators etc. The only thing the truck really seemed to be missing was the wheels. It was kind of baffling really.. it had not even been wrecked.
Def a great find for anyone needing anything for their 60.

Here is the info for the place

I would imagine they would sell you the whole thing for insanely cheap... He didnt even know they had a land cruiser back there and seemed to be willing to just get rid of whatever for whatever the offer was....

Did anyone capitalize?

I LOVE TO CAPITALIZE :)

How did the leaf springs look? I need my tcase rebuild but not alot of $$ right now. This has got me thinking.

they are prob pretty flat. it did not have wheels on it so they were sitting right on the ground. The T-case was in the truck though

Do you happen to remember if that vehicle had a windshield in it?

Johnny, I am guessing that it does. I spoke with the owner of the salvage yard and he told me aside from wheels and tires being gone he thinks that the rig is all there.

I am considering buying the entire rig and parting it out as the title is no longer. Just trying to figure out if it is worth the 7 hour round trip, fuel and expense of doing it.

owner is right. Literally the entire truck was still there, every part of the engine and all accessories, all doors windows, transmission body panel... everything. I was shocked really. Even the seats were in there and the factory radio. and it didnt look like it had been sitting out there a real long time either
