I have found a nice looking fj55 in Santa Fe, I have talked to the owner several times on the phone and he knows very little about vehicles in fact he had his mechanic friend call me to discuss the details of his cruiser. He wants to trade for one of my vehicles and is willing to arrange delivery/pickup, but I am hesitant to do a deal on a truck I have only seen in pictures.
So far I have been told the engine has been rebuilt, has new weber carb as well as toyota carb with propane injection kit, dual fuel tanks, double batteries, wired for a winch, roof rack and roll cage, interior done. It does have a dent in the rear taillight area and "some" bondo and "some" rust, really want to make sure it isn't a rusted out body or frame. Also the steering needs tightened?
basicly I'm looking for a road worthy old cruiser that I don't have to spend a small fortune making it driveable.
