I've seen it cruising around town. Looks to be very nice. Spotted a few times with surfboards on top heading to the beach. If you need me to take a look for you I might be able to find some time.

Thanks for the replies and info, Seawolf, I seriously appreciate the offer, and can't believe someone on here actually knows it. I'll keep it in mind. I'm thinking reserve is probably on the higher end too and it may even be more of a feeler. I'll keep an eye on it and watch and participate in bidding until the end.

I don't know much but I have bought two cars off eBay. A 75 bronco a few years ago and an FJ62 a few months ago. It's a total crap shoot but in my limited experience, as long as you can get relatively low and have money left then you'll be ok. Not sure this is that helpful but basically if you had a budget in mind and you can buy this with $5k left for surprises then may be the only way to get one. Oh and both times I bought I wasn't the highest bidder. Highest bidder bailed both times and sellers honored my bid. Basically worth bidding at a number you would buy it.

Thanks for the advice. Good point about the bidders dropping out. Seems to happen a lot from what I've seen as well. I just didn't want to get taken, I'll have to look into eBay buyer protection. It's a long shot anyway but who knows. I really appreciate all of the info.

Please do your own research as I am no expert. However my understanding of the ebay buyer protection for vehicles is that the majority of it only applies to vehicles less than 10 years old. I spoke with their customer service a few years ago and that is the loud and clear message I got at that time from that particular customer service rep.

Again do your own due diligence and if someone, as above, is willing to check it out for you I would absolutely take them up on it.
