Yes, that is it. It is the lighting that makes it appear to be different.

It's a variant of a maxxis tire that I believe is competition only.

So it's probably the sticky racing rubber compound.

So, the radial would be a decent on/off tire? I posted this thread in the tech section as well and people where saying how it is a super soft compound and the tire won't last. (Are they referring to the non-radial?)

I am dumb in regards to tires. (Other things too, but especially tires)
