Hey everybody,

I am looking for an 80 or 100. I got accepted to CU Boulder and the 40 really isn't a cold weather car and i'm not sure that it can make it to Boulder. I figured that it would be best to look for a truck in AZ (less rust). If anyone knows of one please let me know, especially if its in Tucson.

Saw a couple on Craigslist yesterday. Good luck.

What's your approximate budget? Also, are you open to 91/92 year models or just 93 and newer?

My buddy here in Tucson has a '93 for sale. It's got:

OME 2.5" lift
35" MTR
It's been 4-wheeled maybe twice
It does not have factory diff locks
It's white
Has lighter-duty tube sliders
3rd row seats

I think he has about 200K on it. I also think it needs some work of some sort because he's looking for a newer one. This one might be steelable.

I'm waiting for a call back about the '93 my friend has. I think it's burning some oil.

Shotts, how much is he asking for it?

I have to convince my dad that I need a car now rather than nine months from now. It's exactly what i'm looking for though.

I'll email you later today when Becky gets home. My thought is 20K. I need to ask top dollar now because without it I don't have a dedicated wheeler to brush to death. :D
Once I get an 2008 or another 100 (05+) I'll start at around 20K and drop as needed. Right now though I'd need top dollar. Stay tuned.....

Any 80 is fine with me....no rush. This will probably take a little bit of time to convince my dad that this is necessary. :D

WOW! Dan must be motivated. I just spoke to him from his work. Here's the details:

Miles: He said 170-180K (he's at work....it's something like that)

I knew he mentioned it needed somthing.....it needs a PS pump. Other than that it's in good condition, runs fine, Dan's a no-hide and honest guy. In discussion I asked him about oil consumption. He said his burns about a quart every 1000 miles. My old '93 did too so I think that's not abnormal.

The tires are in good shape and BFG MT KM's. Killer!

Dan wants a new Camry for the fam. They really don't need the 80 because Dan always drives his FJ40 he V8-ed and completely restored. (What a killer 40! He's been offered almost $30K for it!)

Here ya go....maybe I'm out of touch with the market.....he wants $4000. Isn't that a steal? I don't know. What do you-all think? Damn, my mechanic could slap in a PS pump and all hoses/fluid for dirt (plus the pump). He did it to my 93 and my LX450.

$4000? What do you think? Last I seen it.....the paint looks real good.

May have a friend who is looking for a clean 80. More pics? Interior condition?

Great deal:beer::beer::beer:
