I recently graduated with an automotive technology degree, and i'm in need of a job. I have 4 ASE tests under my belt (Brakes, Steering and suspension, manual and auto tranny) and im taking the other 4 in november. I also have my own Snap-On Box, and full set of Snap-On tools.(Ratchets and sockets, wrenches, lots of air tools, Techwrench tourquewrenches, ect, ect...)
I live in Burlington now, but ill move anywhere around the state if the job opportunity is worth it!!!
Thanks for taking the time to look, and help!
(Need a pay check coming in so i can get another 80!!!):hillbilly:

I'll pass the word to my father-in-law who runs a shop in Havelock. I don't think he has any openings now, but I'm sure he can put feelers out as he knows every tire dealer in NC probably.

Good Luck, and I'll let you know if he has any leads.

Excellent, thanks to both of you!

I'd love to tag along on a trip, or come to the next HAMOM.
Keep me updated
Thanks again
Niles

if "nam" is fayetnam... haha i think i can imagine... if not, im confused

It is. I will just say this. This place is the ugliest place i have ever been. Not scenery wise, but people wise. They are rude and ugly down here.

As i used to say in the Army, Slip away from here.

Yeah the few times i've been out there i'd have to agree. Scenery wise it is awesome and there are good people down there, mostly military, but the times I spent driving to parts stores with Jason I see what he and Darin are talking about.

Toyota of New Bern is hiring. I don't know what for thoe just saw a sign on the way back from Durham today.

Awesome! thanks alot.. cant hurt to give them my resume!!

So i finally got a job! A buddy of mine told me the guy who owns the independent shop he takes all his cars to cant find a steady mechanic to do work for him. So i got the guys number, and just left his house. He has an amazing set up behind his house.
The guy only does transmission work and wants me to do everything else that comes in. This is right up my alley due to the fact that i hate tranny work. I start tomorrow at 10am.
Thanks for everyone on here who gave me suggestions. Lets hope this works out and is a long term job for a couple years!!
Cheers
Ryan

Congratulations as well. I think you will enjoy working for a smaller company. You will learn a lot about how to start something of your own in the future. I've known quite a few like your current boss who have specialized a skill and just set something up near their house. Great money and a great schedule and they get to do the quality type of work they can enjoy and build a name on.

Have fun and that 80 will be in the driveway before you know it.

Well, six years ago, i Started at ECU. A construction management major. When i realized the economy was going to hell, i switched to Something else i hated. So i found the communityy college close had an amazing automotive technology degree. Pitt CC...
