So my fj62 is sitting at school right now because it will not start. Turn key = Nothing. not even cranking. i dont know whats up. ill do some searching and see what i can find out. battery is good.

so what im asking is, would anyone be willing to come out and lend some expertise to a newb here and get my truck started?
im planning on heading up there this evening to see if it will start and i can get it home.

thanks

Check all your fuses, then follow with having someone tap the starter while you turn the key, if that doesn't work check your battery connections, corrosion can often cause bad contact with the cables...follow up with procedures and results.

ok i just got home with it. heh. i had a buddy of mine pick me up and we went and got it. it started instantly first try without hesitation. pretty much the same thing it did the other night/morning.
corrosion i think is highly probably. what do you mean by "tap the starter?"

You got to bang the starter motor with a pipe or something in order to get one that is going bad to "unfreeze". I had a 86 Nissan pickup that would do it constantly. I had a special aluminum pipe in the cab to fix the problem (and other problems should they arise!).

i find this amusing...haha.
so after searching around for a bit im thinking that maybe, if that is indeed the problem, replacing the plunger and contacts might help? or maybe it is an issue with the NSS?
