Is there anyone who might be able to check out a 200 for me? If so, send me a PM and I can fill you in on the details. Thanks much, Mike

Is this the Sonora Gold Pearl unit at Lexus of Glendale? I almost pulled the trigger the other day but it wasn't meant to be. Looks super clean. Has some junk tires on it though. They sent me some additional pictures if you want them...assuming you are looking at the same truck.

yeah...that's the one...did you take it for a drive, etc.?

No. I am in Florida. A few issues came up when I was going to commit so I passed on it.

I went to see that truck on Saturday. I test drove it. Very nice. Clean, no rust. The previous owner was a housewife with 4 kids, and a dog that I could smell. Seats are worn, stains, etc. But it drove excellent. Dealer rep said it hasn't been offroad, and it looks so clean I believe him. Only thing standing in the way between that truck and my driveway was my wife. It is going to be a third car for offroading. So I may just have to sell my LS460 and drive a newer model Land cruiser, for just a two car family.

Thanks so much for your thoughts...Can the seats be cleaned? Or thrashed beyond repair? Overall, sounds like a good detail. Thanks again. Just not sure about the color:)

The seats are not thrashed, just faded, a little stained. The dealership did detail it. I suppose it could be cleaned more. I didn't care too much as it would have been a offroad car only and would be treated as such.

I said the same thing about the color. It's not offensive, just bland.

I too was hung up on the color. It's not that bad and there aren't many of them so it's different. My wife didn't like it. Maybe I was trying to justify it. Good info on the dog. Looking at the interior photos, I thought maybe it was just some bad pics but sounds like those blemishes are real and not just bad pics. I went through the history on the truck using the VIN on the Toyota website. A few things jumped out at me when I studied service details/notes...issues with climate control, multiple air bag lights, CEL, issues with NAV/Camera display not working, battery replaced multiple times in quick succession. Then service history falls off at around 88k miles and it has some Nankang tires on it (that would have to be replaced straight away). All of these electrical issues reminded me of electrical gremlins I have had in German cars...and those scare me. Anyway, just a few of my thoughts on this one.

All of these electrical issues

would be enough info to take it off the radar for me, that's enough cause one to move on...

I mostly purchase used vehicles and when I'm shopping for one, the first step after becoming interested is to look at the dealer service history. Electrical issues are red flags for me.

Interestingly, last month when in process of acquiring my 200, I came across a 13 with a CPO warranty in Orlando and the price point was decent. I had never seen this before but when I tried to pull the dealer history online, got a message that said that it "was not available for this vehicle" which I found strange (never seen this before.) I called the Lexus dealer and specifically asked for this info and was given the run around and more for about 3 days during which I proceeded with my search. I probably exchanged 6 emails with this lady where she was using all the typical tactics to get me to move and of course I ignored her. Little did she know that I'm not the type customer to fall for those tactics. I never got the information and to me THAT, was enough to cause me to move on.

When making decisions to part with ones' hard earned money, TIME is your friend, there will always be more in the horizon. Pulling the infamous trigger can be tricky sometimes, best to have done your due diligence before rather not.

My guess would be it was a Hawaii vehicle. My 100 series was bought new in Hawaii by a military family then brought to Colorado later where I bought it. It would not pull up on the Toyota owner's website, and the dealers had a very difficult time finding records on it in their system too. It was also odd in that it didn't have heated seats or rear heater and a couple of other oddities I can't remember. Honestly I couldn't have cared less though since it was a great vehicle with low miles and drove perfect.

It was a FL car w carfax history and had always been registered in FL

How did I miss this one...I am in Orlando and there hasn't been a 200 for sale in Orlando that I can remember in the past few months. We have one Lexus dealer, in Winter Park, and I have been on their website diligently checking their inventory. Was it Lexus of Orlando in Winter Park?

yes, a 13 LX 570 @ Lexus of Orlando 305 N Semoran Blvd. Winter Park - dealer service history suppressed in the Lexus system for some reason; there was plenty of carfax history but no dealer service history which I found very odd, always registered in FL with 68K miles; found it on autotrader; it did show it had been in an accident and the PS front fender had been repainted or replaced and repainted. I passed when I didn't get a good vibe from the responding sales person.

Gotcha. I am only looking searching Land Cruisers, not the LX. I think I do recall this LX. There is a 2010 starfire pearl LX570 at Porsche of Orlando in Maitland. But it has accident history on the carfax.
