Anyone in the club have a Toyota Service Manual for a 2000 LC?

Hey guys,

I am getting ready to tear into the 2000, and before I buy a FSM I thought I would ask if anyone has one I could borrow for the HG replacement job coming up. Or if anyone has one they would like to sell that isn't being used anymore? @murf, I promise not to drive you nuts with too many texts for parts :)

Thanks in advance.

Why not just throw a used motor in? 800-1200 on eBay shipped to your door.

Engine replacement sometimes ends up being more cost friendly in the end depending on machine shop work, top engine gasket kit, etc. Who knows how hot they got it? May tear into it and see what the cylinder walls look like and then decide. But if you're doing the labor yourself and not paying someone, it should tip the scales in rebuilding.
I know we don't have a manual that New . all electronic now

Right? Though if you opt for just doing the hg do both sides..

the thing still runs fantastic. No water in oil, No oil in water. Exhaust is slowly leaking into the coolant passages. Coolant level goes up when driving at higher RPMs and burps after shut off. Still a very minor leak, not enough to make the overall coolant level go down or push out of overflow. I will be doing both gaskets, but if I get in there and the cylinders look bad, I would go with a full engine. Took me driving it a while before I was convinced it was a HG. After about 25 miles I noticed the coolant level in the reservoir had gone up with engine still running and temp was starting to climb. I haven't even done a compression or leak down test on the thing yet. Compression test in the next few days as work allows. Almost pointless, but I want to do it for peace of mind and to hopefully know which cylinder. I had to spend some time getting the smoke smell out of it. It would have made my whole house smell if I put it in the garage the way it was.

That being said @RockJock82 if you know where I could get an engine to my door for $1k, I would love to know and would have to consider it.

I have a 2001 LC FSM (2 books) I won't be using for a while, would that suit? I do want it back but I'm going to be out of the country for a while (like months) so it'd be a good time. PM me.
