Ah - saw a couple trails out that way that I'd like to try - just haven't paired up with anyone here yet so I don't go alone.

Spent some time out at $hit Creek and out in the foothills shooting with co-workers.

Other than that, I haven't done too much wheeling here yet.

Oh, snap.

1. Always make sure that you know where everyone is at when your getting pulled off an obstacle or while you are filming.
2. Obstacle are different at night than in the day even if your very familar with the trail (see comment 1).
3. See the video, make sure that you stand further back than what you intaily think.:

Very stupid mistake and most definitely won't happen again. Don't feel like touching the back of a jeep again.

Flame me if you so feel like doing so. I have my fire-retardant suit ready to go.

Other than this the night run went well. It was great to get aweay even if just for an hour or two.

Vid gone?

Sounds like you must have had some excitement - I've had my fare share of that too. As long as you made it out and no one got hurt...

On that trip to $hit Creek that I mentioned we had a 2-wheel drive baja'd chevy following another 4wd chevy on our way out just after sunset. The first guy got his directions mixed up and instead of crossing back over the shallow creek he went straight into the Colorado. They were okay, but couldn't come up the other bank due to some fisherman that were there being a$$holes so they turned around. No problem there until the 2wd tried coming up the sandy and steep bank. No dice. We couldn't get him out with straps and he just spun his rears and buried himself further. The entire bed of his truck was under water as well as most of the interior. Thankfully, the motor remained above the waterline. We finally got someone out there with a winch and got him out at about 1am. He's had a few bugs that he had to work out, but his truck is fine now.

Anyway - got the FJ80 back on the road today! Sure feels good now that it is okay.

Hope you/he had some heavy metal in appropriate places. Looks like contact ensued.
