$350 does seem like a lot of money considering it doesn't cost that much to make them. All you need is access to a thermoplastic press and you're set. The university I go to just got a new one, I might have to try it out doing something like this.

LOL..can't say i have access to one of those, much less know how to use one.
if you get it to work and it ain't crappy, then i might be interested in buying some of your homemade carpet..in brown.

Pat,

Go to Lowe's and price the marine carpet that comes in 6' rolls (2 colors, black or brown)....Would do the back nicely. I know you need some up front, but hey $30.......

Or $60 for a thick, thick rubber mat you can cut to fit from Tractor Supply or Gebos....

I researched it, but haven't done either yet. I can save my front and rear seat carpet, just need to do the cargo area...

Now if I could just figure out what to do with that crappy wheelwell stuff...

Have you spilled a can of house paint on your "nice" SOR rear carpet kit? My wife did the other day & the molded PVC at MAF is looking REAL good.

Hop in here, Steve-O! Does the kit include the tailgate & side panels?

yeah that would be a start at least. keep anything i put in the back from sliding around or getting scratched etc.

got to figure out what to do about the front and now, back seat carpet. i kind of like having the crap out of there though. it was worn and nasty. back seat area carpet ended up having a large amount of dog food and french fries under it when i yanked it. weird.
