Cross posting here. Maybe one of you 40 guys has a trany out.
Need some measurements. If anyone happens to have their transmission and or clutch out, and can take a couple of measurements, I would be very thankful.
I need the measurements done on a stock 2F H42 4speed.

1st measurement: from the clutch surface of the flywheel to the transmission mounting surface of the bell housing. This would require the clutch pressure plate and disc being out.

2nd measurement: With the clutch bolted in. From the pressure plate fingers to the to the transmission mounting surface of the bell housing

I know the parts illustrated above don't quite look like stock Cruiser parts.
Don't ask me what the bell housing is. It came out of a 350/H42 cruiser. Never have figured out what company made it, or if it's homemade. A mystery.

I'm studying the possibility of mating a Mitsubishi Fuso truck engine to an H55.
These measurements will help me decide if how to aproach this.
Thanks!

Thanks!

I have my tranny out on my 77, its the 4spd, would this be suitable? I could measure tonight when I get home.

That would be great. Thanks!

Anyone doing a clutch job?

Have you considered mating the Mitsu engine and 5-speed to the Toyota T-case?

Have a look under a Mitsu 6x6 FG, the T-case is a slightly larger version of the Aisin Cruiser case. Might be easier (bolt on?) to make an adaptation there....
