As the title says. I'm doing my front axle service next Friday so wanted to see if anyone local has the 54mm hub socket. I need to borrow one for a couple weeks.

Thanks,
Patrick

the club has one... or two. but we might need them next weekend if we do solid axle rebuild tech day...

Its on the calendar, but I need to see if people are interested...

Has anyone expressed interest yet? Where were you planning to have it?

if we do it on a sunday... i'm there!

I don't think i will have time to do it. I think we will start up with the tech days in the fall...

I have one in Herndon.

If you still need it you are welcome to it.

Just drive to Fredericksburg and make the big investment of about 10-15 bucks at iron pig. You'll need it again anyways

Snap On also sells them for a surprisingly affordable price.

That's what I did. Actually had a colleague of mine who lives down in the 'burg pick it on his way in to the office.

Finished the axle service in 3 days. Probably 16 hours in total. Not exactly fun but well worth it as a learning experience. I did post my lessons learned on the FAQ if anyone cares to check it out.
