Anyone ever run this trail?

I was up scouting game management unit 6B North of Red Rock Secret Mountain Wilderness area and East of Sycamore Canyon Wilderness area. I met the forest ranger at the Turkey Butte Lookout who showed me a trail leading between the Red Rock Secret Mountain area and Sycamore Canyon Wilderness area that looks like a hiking path on the forest service map. The ranger said that a special permit needs to be obtained, but that vehicles are allowed and that a convoy of 20 or so 4x4s had gone through that morning. (This was last Sunday).

The best directions I can give to get to this location is: 1) Take the 40 heading west out of Flagstaff, 2) Turn South on Forest Service Road 231, 3) Stay on 231 while it winds its way back to Turkey Butte Lookout, 4) At Turkey Butte Lookout take FSR 536 south towards Bunker Ridge. Ranger made it real clear that the area was gated and well posted at the beginning of the permit only area.

So, anyone ever run this trial? Anyone know anyone that had run this trail? Anyone interested in coming along if I arrange the permit?

Id probably go. Ive hunted up in that area but cant recollect that specific trail. Its nice up there and would make for a cool(er) day.

Dude, you need to take a break from your legal duties...you have TRIALS on the mind and not TRAILS ...
