I just got this 62 and am new to rock crawling/offraoding. I'm supposed to be going up to Roush Creek with a friends off road club. I wondered if there was any terrain where I would kinda need/benefit from a snorkle.

The trails I've done in Rausch Creek were pretty mild, I don't think I even needed 4 wheel drive. But I'm not an expert on the area, there could have been more difficult trails out there. It's definitely beautiful. About the only thing you'd need a snorkel for is the Potomac, I'd spend the money on a locker first.

Haha, max i dont know how you avoided the tough stuff. There are plenty of challenging trails, but no need for a snorkel. Unless you are with a group whos intention is to find deep water. It is there, but you dont HAVE to go through any, not even to access some trails.

Rausch Creek is a hell of a time. All types of trails for stock to full buggy.

skip the snorkle and buy a locker for the same money. You can definitely get into terrain that will max out your truck. Max.Powerzz must've been riding with the girly crew - there are lots of trails there that you won't be able to finish in your truck. KOH qualifier is being held at Rausch this year.

I'll reiterate - skip the snorkle and buy a lockright or aussie locker.

You only need a snorkle if you stay at Echo Valley and use the showers. Buy a locker.

 I didn't use them last year, are they bad?

The showers have supposedly been replaced since last year so they must be better now.
