I'm trying to buy new tires, and I know everyone is tired of tire threads but I was wondering if anyone actually changes out the two sets. The cruiser is moving towards DD duty and the Biased ply LTBs are rough in that aspect. I don't have a garage... am I going to HATE changing these things?

Looking at some generic A/T style for mild wheeling and high miles

Then LTBs for wheelin.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

I would do if I had to start DD my 60. If you have two sets of wheels so you can just swap them out it would not take too long and you could just do one axles at a time. The only problem I see is needing two spares since you have to run the same size. Seems like anyway you think about it driving on the road or off roading in the middle of nowhere it sucks to not have a spare.

Goodluck

Yep, I do. 31X10.50 BFG ATs for DD. 34X10.50 LTB's for wheeling. I used to switch tires when I went somewhere, but with my new transmission I drive the LTB's.

It's a PITA. I am going to sell the 34's and run a 33 or 35 all the time. Search LTB for lots of comments on how rough they are.

I switch out from near stock duelers to my 33 BFG MTs, two sets of stock wheels, takes about 45 min with floor jack and just a Big ole "T" tire tool.

The spare is a problem, with the 33s and a small spare (stock) I'd have to put the spare on the front axel and un-lock the hubs to keep the axels from binding, I've been told that in loose dirt type traction it's okay to drive with different size tires in 4X4. On pavement you'll twist somthing off sooner than later..so-I've-been-told

I got two sets. 5 of each. Run 33 muddies normaly and 36 swampers if we're gunna get serious. I found best way is to pick up some cheapy sunraysia's or similar for the second set. I think it's a must otherwise you'll always be comprimising on your tyre choice.
