The Runner has some downtime with the advent of the Cruiser and I'm wanting to work on some dents, one panel at a time. Here is the first panel I want to fix, it's the biggest eyesore on the rig. I affectionately call it my "anger management" body panel, I've mellowed out since then and have found other, more productive avenues of releasing steam.
I've popped it out all I can from the inside, I think it's now time for a stud welder and slide hammer or a patch panel. I have the panel...
The red paint is some of that anti-rust primer stuff. Basically I'd like to know if anybody here is savvy or knows somebody who they'd trust to take their stuff to? I don't care if you/they are out of their garage, carport, whatever, having the skills is the main part. I'm in no big hurry, I just want to get it fixed, primed, and ready to paint since I want to re-spray the entire rig at the same time and there are more dents to tackle. Unfortunately I'm laid-off (maybe permanently) and don't have lots of money to throw at it (I do have some, it's just has to be the "price has gotta be right" kinda deal). What I do have, maybe for trade for anybody interested, are some great carpentry skills (abstract custom and Oregon residential code based) and concrete skills (forming, pouring, finishing, flat, vertical, and overhead). I could also trade some hours with my dozer with a 6-way blade that I'm currently getting set up to get licensed to conduct business with(articulation trail anyone?
). Anyway, just tossing it out there for anybody who might be interested. If all else fails I'll probably be teaching myself, beginning with the small stuff first to prepare my skills for the bigger stuff. Thanks for the consideration.....D
