The Runner has some downtime with the advent of the Cruiser and I'm wanting to work on some dents, one panel at a time. Here is the first panel I want to fix, it's the biggest eyesore on the rig. I affectionately call it my "anger management" body panel, I've mellowed out since then and have found other, more productive avenues of releasing steam.

I've popped it out all I can from the inside, I think it's now time for a stud welder and slide hammer or a patch panel. I have the panel...

The red paint is some of that anti-rust primer stuff. Basically I'd like to know if anybody here is savvy or knows somebody who they'd trust to take their stuff to? I don't care if you/they are out of their garage, carport, whatever, having the skills is the main part. I'm in no big hurry, I just want to get it fixed, primed, and ready to paint since I want to re-spray the entire rig at the same time and there are more dents to tackle. Unfortunately I'm laid-off (maybe permanently) and don't have lots of money to throw at it (I do have some, it's just has to be the "price has gotta be right" kinda deal). What I do have, maybe for trade for anybody interested, are some great carpentry skills (abstract custom and Oregon residential code based) and concrete skills (forming, pouring, finishing, flat, vertical, and overhead). I could also trade some hours with my dozer with a 6-way blade that I'm currently getting set up to get licensed to conduct business with(articulation trail anyone?:D). Anyway, just tossing it out there for anybody who might be interested. If all else fails I'll probably be teaching myself, beginning with the small stuff first to prepare my skills for the bigger stuff. Thanks for the consideration.....D

Sand it clean, prime and paint. I'm proud of my dings. I will keep them. Ask gnob(Aric). He's overflowing with skill.;)

Well, normally dent's don't bother me. I've always thought of my Runner as the "Chameleon", like that early 90's SNL commercial spoof with Phil Hartman. It was during the time Lexus was doing all those fancy commercials with the body panel drummers and the marble rolling down the smooth body lines. The "Chameleon" was spoofing that as a piece of crap on the outside, but all luxury on the inside, to thwart no-do-gooders.....actually here's a link to it, i just seached for it and watched it in the midst of typing this, I haven't seen that for 17 years, freaking hilarious, love the background music.....

Anyway, this set of dent's I'm not too proud seeing as how they were produced, and have looked at them long enough to be reminded to chill. This is my DD and don't like the extra attention from the fuzz that the dents seems to procure. Plus, the body work is basically the last phase for the Runner then I can just keep my hands off it for once:p!!

OMG... I never saw that before! Hilarious for sure.
