SILVER Star
I know it's a long shot, but wondering if anybody is going across country in the coming weeks.
We have a family heirloom cradle woven by my mother that has provided a bed to sleep on for each of her seven grandchildren. The eighth (and very much final) grandchild is set to arrive in early April, but the cradle is back home in Romeo, MI and we are in Los Angeles. Mom was quoted a fee of $700 to pack and ship the cradle back out to LA, which is insane because I spent $150 to send it to my brother in Chicago three years ago, and she about the same to send it to us originally seven years ago.
Wondering if anybody happens to be going cross-country that could help us out. As I said, I know it's a long shot, but crazier things have happened on Mud!
PM me if you might be able to help. I don't remember the exact dimensions of the cradle, but IIRC it was on the order of 4' x 3' x 3' once boxed.
