It's hard to find custom PIDS for the URJ200, so I thought if anyone has some they'd be willing to share, now'd be a good time. I have one for transmission pan temp, one for tranny converter temp, and one for engine coolant temp.

I pull a 6500 lb. travel trailer so I like to keep track of things, especially when going over mountains, in extreme heat, etc.

What PIDs do you have that work? I only have the trans temp (not sure if it's pan or tc). I tried the secondary trans temp one from the tundra but didn't get a value.

Bear in mind I have a 2009 LC. Yours being newer may need a couple of substitutions. For example, your OBD2 Mode may be 2182. You also might need to substitute A and B for E and F in the equation. Here are the two that have worked for me:

Transmission temp (Pan)

OBD2 Mode: 21d9

Long Name: TFT Pan

Short Name: Pan

Minimum: 0

Maximum: 250

Scale Factor: x1

Unit Type: °F

Equation: ((((E*256)+F)*(7/100)-400)/10)

OBD Header: (leave blank)

Transmission temp (Converter)

OBD2 Mode: 21d9

Long Name: TFT Converter

Short Name: Converter

Minimum: 0

Maximum: 250

Scale Factor: x1

Unit Type: °F

Equation: ((((G*256)+H)*(7/100)-400)/10)

OBD Header: (leave blank)

You should be able to verify these because when the TC is locked up the Pan and Converter temps will equalize. During shift phases, the converter temp will rise dramatically, especially when towing. This is what taught me to tow in 4th gear.

Good luck and let us know how it works.

You have 21d9 listed twice in your post. Is that intentional? Are there different OBD2 header values you're using? I don't see any difference in the above values except the name, which would just print the same value twice. If you're actually getting different values with the abvoe config I'd love to know how or in what app.

I had posted in another forum here a while back:

Anyone know the PID for trans temp?

I found 21D9 returns some sort of transmission temperature (not sure if it's the pan or the torque converter). 2182 returns 0. I had tried some other codes hoping to get oil temp or the like but the values were all over the place so I don't think they actually match the other toyota vehicles (see post if you're interested). Oil temp would be great if anyone figures out the PID.

Yes, the 21d9 is used for both. The difference between them is in the equations. The Pan uses the letters E and F. The converter uses G and H.

Oh, and the header values are left blank.

I'd love to get a PID for oil temperature, too.

I followed the instructions here and downloaded the .csv file as mentioned. Most (all) of the PIDs work across Toyotas.

Not sure how to get oil temps.

Can't find anything for oil temp or oil pressure. The pid I posted earlier didn't work.
