I just got a great deal on a trailer but I don't have a hitch on my truck. Does anyone have a recommendation on where to get one? What to look for? Any brand preference? I've never pulled a trailer so any help would be appreciated. I don't want to spend a fortune on the Kaymar, any other good options?
Thanks,
Ron

somebody makes one for the 60 because my Bros BJ60 has one on it. You don't need anything big because the 3b isn't going to pull that hard. I would guess 3000lbs MAX and it is going to be a slug.

I made a custom bumper with a pintle/ball combination for my HJ. I really like it. I just ran the pintle/ball without a bumber for months. It worked fine as well. If you remove the chrome bumber you have access to the frame for the pintle/ball mount.

I just installed a Draw Tite reciever on my FJ60. Easy install only had to drill two holes, but damn was that some tough steel to drill through. Cost about $160 from Hitch Finder. com. Hitch is rated for 3000lb. standard and 5500lb. weight distributed. Excellent quality and look.

I bought a no-name class 3,4 hitch from princess auto for 120 bucks, built real solid.
Had to drill holes in the frame but once it was in, it was solid. Hung a little low but I wasn't wheeling very hard so it didn't matter.

If you can spend the money, get a rear bumper with the reciever built into it...maybe one with the tire carrier if you wheel your 60

My PO installed a Draw Tite. Used existing holes, no drilling. Receiver mounts flush to back of bumper. Nice tight look. You would think it was stock except for the small Draw Tite logo.

Cheers,
Cahil

Looks like I'll be going with the Draw-tite. Thanks all.
