But beadlocks aren't legal, are they?

Legal schmegal. Some are and some arent! Cops dont know the difference.

I have never been asked about them in all these years wheelin.

I have spent may hours lookin through the California Vehicle Code and can't find anything that even mentions beadlocks....So I wouldn't worry about it...

Besides the only reason they aren't legal is beacuse no one wants to pay the money to have them DOT Tested...

I see. I never knew that. I'll have to check into that for NY.

37's

This is a straightforward SO.
Cut and turned front housing.
Stock springs/ shackles.
4x4 labs Highsteer arms and tie rod/ draglink.
1 ton ends.

4.10 gears.
Detroit rear/ ARB front.
Longfields.

37x12.5x16.5 GoodYear Military MTR's on custom MRW beadlocks.

Drive it daily.

Come Awn! :grinpimp:

That looks great! Did you have to mess with the steering with your SO?

Damn Californians. That's cool for you, but not me.

No offense of course....

steering

Only thing I did was a get a good alignment.

Removed the stock steering stabilizer and honestly, I don't think it is needed.
One finger on the wheel at 65 mph and this thing cruises along nicely.

Next item is to build longer shackles for the front.
I installed a set I had laying around, but could see another 2.0" or more to get it to set the way I feel it needs to be.
