I talked to the guys at Gray Danniels the day that they got the first one and they had sold it 4 hours after they got it. The next one will be next week and it's sold as well. They said that they really want to do something with the club but until they have something to show then they don't have any reason to do it. Does Herrin Gear Toyota have any? I have to go out that way tomorrow and might stop and see if they would be interested in doing something if I have time. Sorry guys. As soon as we know something I will post it. Might be a short notice type thing though. Remember, these are "car dealers" all they really care about is selling cars.

I played pass and repass with a nice looking silver FJC on Friday of last week. It looked to be a dealer transfer as it still had all the stickers everywhere. The old dude driving it definitely looked out of place. When I honked and gave him a thumbs-up, he looked thoroughly confused! There was a new 4Runner right behind him with the same stickers, etc. Must have been his wife driving as they were talking back and forth on handheld radios. He was probably telling her some freak in an Explorer was buggin' him!?!?

The two here at Auburn Dealership are still here! They are completey shocked they haven't flown off the lot. Oh well. They both have Package #2 so I won't even go inside to debate numbers.
i saw one sitting up on the toyota hill on 55. I went to see about it and they told me it was one of the salesmen's. Unfortunately the 30 minutes in between the time i saw it and made back to check it out he had gone to lunch.
He said it will be there for viewing just about anytime though.

Yesterday, the salesman at Gray-Daniels told me that they got one that was a base model in and it sold immediately for around $31k. He said that they are getting a couple loaded ones in in a few weeks and that they will go for around $40k. No one is going to be getting any deal on one for at least a year. You have every new-money yahoo in Jackson who has just enough class and self-respect not to buy a Hummer but who is going to pay retail just to have an FJ in his driveway. Flock that. I'm going to wait till he has to sell it to pay for his wife's new rack. I'll be in one for $23k.

There are two unsold Voodoo blue FJ Cruisers at Ceranti Oakes Toyota in Greenville. They are 2WD. One is pretty well loaded from what I am told for about 31K and the other about $27K

I saw a new Voodoo blue one Saturday night outside of Bon Ami. I had never gotten a real-life look at the stern of one before, but my woman and I agreed that the back looked a bit candy-cane and shared few characteristics of a, well, FJ- 40 or 60. With the popularity of the retro look in many new cars, I am surprised that the ass-end was designed so. Kind of softened my woody a little. Maybe the daytime sealant cleaner really rocks and makes up for the goofy stern...... Word.
i went and checked out the gray one at hallmark toyota as soon as it came off the truck. Thinking that it would sell as fast as the others. It is still there. The salesman that day was sure he was going to sell it that afternoon! So maybe the intitial demand bubble will burst and they will start selling them cheaper. But i agree though. the rear end looks a little odd and the low portion of the front bumper looks kind of cheap. Seems like a little too much plastic for such a "rugged" truck.
