Any LX or LC200 Owners in Dallas-Ft Worth area willing to give their opinion on a local LX down there?

I'm getting a pre-purchase inspection done and the Service History checks out on Lexus website, but would love the opinion of a MUD member.

What part of DFW? And what specifically are you looking to have checked out. I've only been in the 200 series game for 8-9 months so I'm a pretty big noob, but I can most definitely crawl under the truck to check rust/condition/actuators and I can take tons of pictures for you. No experience with the LX so I wouldn't know the first thing about AHC problem areas though. Is it private party or dealership sale? So long as the selling dealer isn't the one doing PPI and you found a good shop to take it to you should be relatively covered, but if no one more qualified jumps in and so long as it isn't on the opposite side of the metroplex I don't mind running over there.

I would definitely recommend that your PPI is done by a mechanic who knows their way around a 200. A good PPI is worth more than my limited analysis.

Problem areas to check:
Radiator, check top for crack/leak
KDSS valve, check if rusted or stuck
Water pump, check for leaks
Valley plate leak
Cam tower leak
Secondary air injection system/SAIS
AHC
Alternator
Fuel pump ECU
Various actuators (door locks, mirrors, etc)

Thank you for the offer Kgillkehoe! It is over near Lake Arligton on the East side of Ft. Worth. Going to call some of the PPI guys that were recommended below and see if I can get one to take a look.

I've had Tandem do work for me before and they are to the east of Ft Worth if you're looking for a PPI shop still. Unfortunately I'm to the north east of Dallas so Lake Arlington is about an hour drive with no traffic for me. If I was closer I'd certainly run over there for you
