Anyone up for creating an IL TTORA? I moved up here last year and would like to get something together. I am hoping to find a group that can stay active on forums. I can do a lot of the legwork and have the means to host a website.
I know there isn't a lot of wheeling around here, but we will do what we can. We will attach to other midwest groups when we can and try to encourage members to convoy to major events. We may not get a lot of wheeling in, but we can still get together and turn wrenches, camp, and just have a good time. Maybe if we get enough people, we can find more places, such as private properties, to get our wheeling fix with.
Illinois is a big state and a group would likely be spread out, but we can make something work. We can vary meeting locations so that everyone has a chance to participate. We can also mingle with other types of 4x4 groups so that we have a chance to wheel with larger groups.
I think we can make something work. If we can't, I may end up with the IN group. I think we can make something happen though. Anyone have any ideas here?
