I am planning to stop by Ripley in Houston to see if they're interested in fabbing up a system for my 200 - as many noted in other threads there isn't likely much gain in HP, so my goal is to find a balance of extra growl and minimal drone..... and better clearance
Assuming we can come up with something that works based on my last set up for my Heep that they built I know they would be willing to Jig it up and build more....
A show of hands for folks who might be interested ? I'll probably Dyno the truck prior and after as Eurocharged is right down the street....( they'll be doing my Sc'er install when I get that far)....
Ripley!.....man thats a Blast from the past, I grew up on 1960, they installed flowmasters on my truck in High School. Good to see they are still around, always thought they would have gone by the wayside of eminent domain when they widened Kuykendahl.
word to the wise on your exhaust adventure - if you haven't already, think about or identify what rear bumper you'll be going with (if any) and try to anticipate where that bumpers clearance will end up measuring so that the new exhaust compliments it as a whole.
Agree - I'll likely do a Slee when it's avail but my intent is to tuck it up high with a turndown - similar to what they did OEM and I had the shop do on my jeep. I'm thinking for sure that I'll keep that rear run easily bolt-on/off until that's all complete..... any thoughts /ideas from others ?
So we put her on the lift and they took some measurements and are going to order a few things to start to play with..... they agree that any gains are unlikely but that it will provide a bit more flow once it's supercharged.
I've asked them to use a Burns Stainless muffler and also have one of their 3" resonators on-hand...... I loved the way the Bruns stuff sounded on my track cars..... always wanted to try it on a truck.
Hoping to get the suspension all on next week and then get her dyno'ed and start to put this together......
