I HATE my FU*KING FURNACE!I have a York Diamond 90 furnace that wont heat above 65 deg. This is not the first time this has happened, but historically all Ive had to do was clean the vent lines. Well that has been done, and Im still having the same issue. It fires up and runs fine, but then the flames begine to sputter (after about 5 mins), then the go out. I get 3 blinks on the indicator signaling a sticking pressure switch. The unit eventually turns completely OFF, failing to reach temp.Anyone know about these machines that can lend some info!?Im LAME on this topic! Please HELP!Chicago

What kind of furnace? Forced air, natural gas?

Which pressure switch? Inducer blower, main blower or gas inlet? Flame out after 5 minutes suggests that the main blower isn't coming on when the core gets up to temperature.

The "MAN" was called today. The :princess: was tired of being COLD, and her husband being a stubborn, CHEAP, ASS.
So Ill post up what it may be.

Thanks for chiming in Pin_Head

Need more information. Have you watched and listened to the unit on a call for heat. Draft motor on,
Pilot solenoid energised, ignitor on, Pilot proof, main gas on, proof of flame, flame, main blower on, flame fail???

Give a description of what is going on.

Sorry, I dont know what half of that stuff is, but YES, I had witnessed the cycling of the furnace up to the point where it failed every time.
It ended up being the vent lines. Water was fouling the functioning of the pressure switch. The PVC drain line was not allowing the water to drain, so the re did the drain line and it works great now.

Thanks for the inquiry.
