I'm thinking about getting one of these next spring. Pretty cool basic old school design. Light weight aluminum, pretty bare bones, and priced decent. It would be used for MILD expedition off road trips, nothing hardcore. In my opinion, even the "off road" pop-ups are not that heavy duty. I was looking at those, but decided this may fit the bill just as well for me at a much better price. Any thoughts? Check them out @ Livin' Lite Recreational Vehicles makers of Quicksilver All Aluminum Ultra Light Campers

That is interesting. I have never seen them before. It looks like a stripped down pop-up in some ways (no hard roof, stove, fridge, etc.). I do like the all aluminum construction and super light weight.

I was thinking about looking at them as well. I live in Florida where there are no dealers. I called the factory at least eight times and left three messages that indicated that I was interested in a purchase. I also e-mailed them. I never received a response. Their manual, which is available online, says "Can't find a dealer? Have an emergency? Contact us." If they can't get back to a prospective customer, what will it be like dealing with a warranty issue?

That would be more than enough for me to cross them off my list.

That sucks- I really liked the simplicity and was considering one before we got a new tent. lack of dealer support is a real concern

They'r a little more basic than what I would like, but I'm going to take a look at Jumping Jack Trailers @Tent Trailers - From Trailer to Tent in 5 Minutes!. The Gander Mountain store up in Ocala Fl. keeps them in stock. I'm really disapointed in Living Lite"s lack of responce. Just about everyone I know with a conventional Pop Up has issues with rotting wood and that high quality particle board cabinets falling apart.

To bad to hear poor customer service, etc. Looks like a sweet setup! The Jumping Jacks are pretty cool. A guy on my street has one. Very basic, no amenities at all and still $5-$6K!? They can only sleep 4 in the larger format and I really need 5-6.

One thing to think about..........
Some parks will not allow tent trailers (aka Pop-ups) due to bears, I know what are the chances but you gotta think about it.

We opted for a hard side trailer when we purchased a new camper.

Really? I've camped in a tent in Yellowstone and other places out west with grizzlies?! Where won't they let you camp in a soft sided camper?

They have a dozen campgrounds at Yellowstone and only one of them has the "hard sided campers only" rule. I think it's the Fishing Bridge campground which is the one that has full hookups, etc.

It is strange that they have this rule at one but not the others.
