I wish timing was such I could help. I'm planning an H55 conversion in the Phoenix area this spring, and my a440 (in great conditioni) will be available.

I have one that was rebuilt by a Mud member and I'm in northern California Bay Area. I have no use for it and it is taking up space in my garage. It has a new OEM output shaft and I can put you in contact with the Mud member who rebuilt it if you have any questions. PM me if you are interested.

How much are you wanting to sell it for? Are you sure it’s good to go ?

If you have a locker they add significant slop in the axle. You could easily have 1/10 turn off slop due to the way an automatic locker works. If you have an arb then there shouldn't be any more than oem.

Good call, in the shop now. Sloppy rear end is the diagnosis. Hoping to have it tightened up and rolling by this evening. Send thoughts and prayers or cross your fingers

The clunk is probably worn splines on both trans output and transfercase input gear. This is a know issue. If I recall, the transfercase input gear spacer is splined as well which allows welding of the spacer to the gear giving a fresh section of spline to take the load.
