any computer gurus near charlotte?

It seems I may have been hacked, I got a pop up from TWC saying something about my router address was reported for some zeus Trojan horse virus, bla bla bla....I tried to jump through the hoops but ended with conflicts so I don't even know if I got anything fixed.....but the puter is working but, It does not seem to register any new emails...I can pull them up on a different computer....
any help out there? it is a windows 8 circus

Did you go into your email settings and check to make sure the TWC email server settings are correct. I think it's IPOP and SMA (ingoing and outgoing servers?)

Sounds like if another computer can access email going through the same router, you're good on the router end. But may need to make sure the email settings are correct.

What kind of email are you using?

I'm not in Charlotte, but I'm very good with remote support.
