I'll be there at the usual time (around 11:00 a.m.) I'm going to attempt to change my rear brake pads....just for fun. This mechanic stuff is addictive! This weekend brake pads...before you know it, I'll be doing my own lift!

Awesome Jen is coming! I just learned how to do brakes the other day with Ben so if you need some help, Ill help you F'em up.

I highly recommend the Valvoline Palladium for the birfields. NAPA is the only local retailer that carries it and for fairly cheap. I say get 6 tubes, which they only come in the long ones for grease guns.

As for the wheel bearings, I run Valvoline Cerulean. NAPA is also the only retailer that carries this and again for fairly cheap. 3 tubs should do it.

Don't forget to get 3 quarts of gear oil. If you want to go synthetic, I would recommend the 75w-145 Wal-Mart synthetic. It is cheap and made by a small private US company similar to the likes of Amsoil, Redline, Royal Purple, etc.

Since we just re-packed the wheel bearing when we did the brakes do we I have to again?

Wanna share the address where this is going to take place?

hey Ben,

I found out that the crush sleeve eliminator will not make it in time. They ran out and it will not make it to your house until next week some time.

Man that was a long day. I could have used some trail coffe this morning. :D

The wheel bearings still need to be done for at least Kelly's truck but technically they aren't part of a birfield re-pack. All in all then the day was a success, even though Josh's Fat Bastard didn't like my hub nut socket. We got that biach done but after losing a cone washer and nut for the hub plate we called it quits. I'm sure the neighbors we're happy with that too. :D I just wish Fast Batard's carma didn't give me such greif with that hub nut socket and that we could have repacked the wheel bearings so I could be truely proud of my work. That's not to say it's still better than a majority of shops will do, well better than Alamo Toyota (can you tell I have a biased opinion) ;)

Every time in the past before Fat Bastard, the multi tipe hub socket has worked for me more times than I can count. I suppose the correct socket should be added to my collection, although every time I have to use the socket I say it's going to be the last so I've got around to ordering it. Or I can just keep Fat Bastard away.

It was a long day but as usual the company and provisions were awesome! I really do appreciate all the hard work and long hours as well as the garage space. Our next wrench/taco party should be without :wrench::wrench::wrench:

THANK YOU!!!

I nearly fogot, we seriously owe Jen a HUGE THANK YOU!! She did the impossible by toping the Hawaiian taco's! The fish and shrimp were absolutely delicious, the dip none of us could stop eating eating was incredible and the pineapple fruit tray was awesome!

For two birfield jobs my driveway was kept really clean, I appreciate it guys!

LOL, yeah you missed the best part. Josh and I were gettting a little goofy, well porbably mostly me. Brake cleaner fumes, punch, beer, shots....it got interesting. Kelly also found an interesting shot glass to use since what I had got broken when I moved. The glass had two choices, medium or hard boiled. :D

Anyone going to share pictures of our feast? I still cannot believe Jen has no formal training.

BTW. Kelly I still have the banner, let me know if you need it for Roundup.

Jen is truly gifted and we are truly lucky :)

I do need the banner for Round-up. Are you guys driving up on Friday? As of this second there is no rain in the forecast.

Kelly

Aw shucks guys, thanks for the kudos! I love cooking for you guys.

I can't wait for our next taco party. Hmmm, Greek taco's (???, It'll be interesting to see what Kelly and I come up with).

BTW: I ordered my lift today! It'll be here in a week!

Cool, now just comes the wait Jen. If anything else Im just going to show up at all events for Jen's taco concoctions.

As the night kept on going the only way to fight the exhaustion was more drinky winky. So we kinda ended up getting hammered. We've got all kinds of dumb jokes now. Are you hard boiled?
