another snorkel question...

I know that fj60 snorkels mount on the passenger side, but would it be possible to just buy a snorkel from another vehicle that mounts on the drivers side and mount that up? are snorkels made to conform to the body? i've never seen one up close.

The 60 series ones fit the body....or atleast mine does...so sadly you most buy the one that mounts on the left side....

Use the search function...many members have made there own and you will be surprised at the creativity . My fj60 snorkel fits the body and bolts in above the wheel well and onto the a-frame. Snorkels for other cars have different angles up the frame, so it might be difficult to attach the snorkel to the a-frame. If you have someone who can weld for you, just modify your current air cleaner so it is angled toward the passenger side instead of the driver side.
