Hey Rory -

Thanks for the pics. That was a good day of wheeling.

x2! It was fun to actually run some obstacles and not just hang back and watch, wishing (i.e., now with the lift and higher gear ratio):steer:. Jennie still refuses to ride them and gets out to watch, but at least she's a trooper and loves wheeling por general!!!

Hey Steve or Greg, how'd the route back up to Double Eagle work out?

dave

Nice Pics! I wanted to make this run but I had to work.

I've always heard this trail called the "Body Shop" but Body Snatcher sounds good too. That off camber spot where the wall sticks out just beyond the ledge in these pics has kept me from trying it in the FJ. Maybe one of these days

In the Jeep there wasn't any worry about hitting it. The problem was getting the rear DS wheel up. He had to attack it four times. At the top there is another off-camber into a wall situation. That is the one that could hurt a long wheel base vehicle

A few more pics

Fun Day! That is the most work my truck has seen to pick up milk and bread. Looks like for sure I am going with a lift (duh!)

One more

I heard one guy say they were rednecks, but not that much.

Great pics Rudy. Especially the second to last of Greg's truck. That spot doesn't look so bad in the pictures, but in the truck it was scary! Evan navigated through it like a champ!

Nice pictures Rudy!

Great pics Rudy! That first one is a great camera angle, that thing looks vertical. I've always gone up that climb. Now I'm going to have to try it in reverse.

Yeah, I think Rudy added a few degrees to that one, but the first one looks dead-on. I was pretty well planted with the front axle tucked into the wells and the passeger side rear dangling in the air.

If he wants to conquer that hill, he needs to turn more to the PS into the hill and use the ledge as traction. That said, once you have the front tires up on that ledge, getting the rest of a LWB vehicle up that is going to be damn tough.

Probably the toughest obstacle out there right now. I have yet to see anyone conquer that ledge/line/hill.

he tried what you are describing a couple times. for those pics he had gotten bumped off track and "gunned it" at his friend's suggestion....

This is where he started.
