another E-brake question

I have searched the forum!
I am getting ready to order the parts to redo the e-brake, the handle inside the cab that you pull up on, Does anyone know how to remove the plastic handle from the metal arm? I looked in my FSM and maybe passed over the instructions for this job, but I found very little about the e-brakes in the FSM.

The handle is a permanent part of the lever assembly, it is not supposed to come off.
