I've searched and read every thread I could find pertaining to coil packs and misfires, but I'm still a little perplexed about a problem I'm having right now.
In the past, I've had a couple coil packs go out, and when I scanned the codes, they came back with a P030X code. Therefore, I was able to identify the malfunctioning culprit and replace it. Now, I'm getting a P1300 code alone, and the truck only stumbles (and it stumbles hard) every so often.
From my research on MUD, here's a listing of the codes I've found. The P030X codes I understand, but the P13XX codes I do not:
P0301 Cylinder #1 — Misfire Detected
P0302 Cylinder #2 — Misfire Detected
P0303 Cylinder #3 — Misfire Detected
P0304 Cylinder #4 — Misfire Detected
P0305 Cylinder #5 — Misfire Detected
P0306 Cylinder #6 — Misfire Detected
P0307 Cylinder #7 — Misfire Detected
P0308 Cylinder #8 — Misfire Detected
P1300 Igniter Circuit Fault (Bank #1)
P1305 Igniter Circuit Fault (Bank #2)
P1310 Igniter Circuit Fault (Bank #3)
P1315 Igniter Circuit Fault (Bank #4)
P1320 Igniter Circuit Fault (Bank #5)
P1325 Igniter Circuit Fault (Bank #6)
P1330 Igniter Circuit Fault (Bank #7)
P1335 Crankshaft Position Sensor Circuit Fault (during engine running)
P1340 Igniter Circuit Fault (Bank #8)
Since MY 2UZ V8 only has two banks, I'm not sure where the other 6 banks to which the P13XX codes are referring are located (haha). Therefore, can anyone please advise me on exactly what the P1300 code is telling me and what should be done to resolve it? (The stumble feels just like a coil pack going out, but it doesn't do it all the time......so is it telling me - in a different way - that I just need to replace the #1 coil pack and move on?)
