I'm going to do the install on a road trip--what tools do I need to bring besides a BFH :D

wrench might come in handy -- unless you're Steve Austin and have super strong fingers :flipoff2:

aside from that, I think you're set.

any thoughts on wrench/socket size?

Also take a little greese, and hi lift jack just in case the bumper doesn't want to go in.

Crossing back into mexico they put on a 400% tax to all the Cruiser parts that say made in Japan--trust me I learned the hard way..... I do have a full tool box but just wanted to double check I have all the extras. Hopefully all is good as I just did a birf job, trans fluid exchange-6 quarts, oil, F/R/transfer oil, fuel filter, new radiator, plugs, wires, distributor, greased the zirks, air filter, :flipoff2:

I belive ARB bumpers and such are made in Auss. If that makes any differnence.

so, what happens to the price if you buy Toyota parts from a Toyota dealer in Mexico (if there are any)?

Didn't consider Stone Cold. I'm not much of a wrasslin' fan.

The astronaut. Made better than before...

Toyota prices in Mexico are sky high along with a 2-3 week waiting period.

As long as the product is attatched to the truck like a bumper you are in the clear as far as tax goes....Usually you can pay somebody off to avoid the tax but I got bent over the last time...... There is a $300 limit per person as to what you can bring in---this time it will be my 4.88's etc.

had to google steve austin.......I was imagening a 14 year old teenager with the strong hands comment

Yeah. That's him, Astronaut/test pilot/Six Million Dollar Man.
Employee of Oscar Goldman and OSI; main squeeze to tennis star Jamie Summers; Part-time owner of Max (the bionic dog); friend to Big Foot/Sasquatch...

Story reminds me of a Mexican kid I met at a tennis summer camp as a teenager down in New Braunfels, TX. He was buying tennis cloths and shoes like candy. We were all curious and he said things were so much more expensive in Mexico than TX. He was wearing all the cloths and shoes to put some 'wear' on them so Mexican customs wouldn't pick up on the 'new' purchases and tax it on reentry to Mexico.
