Started the process of removing the engine, tranny and transfer out of my 40 today. So far I just have the body parts removed but it looks like I might have found a home for both the engine and the tranny/transfer.
I also found a deal for the replacement stuff up in Utah from the for sale section here on Mud. 350, AA adapters for the bell housing and cross member, and the tranny and transfer out of a 1980 all for $500.
Looks like I might be taking a road trip up there over the Memorial Day weekend to pick everything up. As it stands, the budget is still very tight on this project, but I am hopeful that I can have her back on the road by the end of the year.
I do plan on coming to the meeting this Friday, but it looks like I will be showing up in a Dodge.
