Does anybody know where the anchor point for a baby capsule is located in a 60 series wagon???

"anchor point"? my '62 doesn't have any, not sure when toyota started putting in the LATCH system, but it wasn't required equipment until 2002. i use the lousy seatbelt. i have yet to get it tight enough (and stay that way) for the recomended 1" of side to side movement. i'm need to have my friendly welder put in a few LATCH points.

Ta for that, I thought all cars, 4WD had to have them post 1974 in Australia to meet standards. I'll just have to get one fitted. Thanks:)

I've been able to get my 60's center belt to get tight enough to hold down the seat base (we have the two-piece type seat) pretty solidly. Boy LOVES ridin' in the Cruiser, though. Giggles and jabbers every time he gets in it, and he's only 4 months old. Start 'em young, I say!

There is nothing but a seat belt..

YOu could drill a hole and put an eyelet in tho..

seat belt. center belt does the trick. the latch system isnt in our 97 4runner. were not in cars until recently.

I use centre belt too. just loop it through and pull tight. I mean drop it like its hot!! It will hold it very snug.

I have a 88 FJ62 and the teathers on my kids car seats attach to what appears to be factor installed "anchor points" directly behind the seats in the back of the truck. Are you guys talking about something else?

This is what I did for shoulder straps in my fj60. This allows you to use booster seats, and any other seat that requires a shoulder strap. This is not my website, but it does have all the information needed.

As for an anchor spot for a infant seat. I just used attached a strap with a hook to the under side of the driver seat.
