Thanks Oh Ren for highlighting the changes. I see most of them are in the interior and options. Well at least i got myself the 60th Year Anniversary edition which have few extras.....Anyways nice thing about a Land Cruiser is that it never dies and keeps going.....worth every penny altough prices have been jacking up lately.

That is so cool, we can't get the Anniversary edition. Can you send the badging? What kinda goodies did they add to it? Where in the world do you have to be to have gotten one?

Oh Ren - here in the middle east you can get a number of different versions.

In the last month I have come across the following
G,G DLX,GL
GX, GXR, GXR-i
VX,VXR,VXR-i
Xtreme and 60th University
(this also doesnt cover the different dealer country options which we come across ie decals, parking sensors, side steps, and bumper add-ons)

Very interesting !

I knew about the G , GX , GX-R , VX-R models .

How ever the GLX and GL models are new to me .

What are their specs ? can you provide us with pictures too , please ?

G DLX is similar to G9 spec but with rear barn doors, no center console, carpet, and normal key ignition in 4.0p and 4.5d

GL is similar to G9 spec but with automatic transmission and only comes in the 4.0p

Which one of these is similar to the 2013 200 series we get here in the states?

The GXR you can get it fully loaded like the VXR (minus the KDSS), and the VXR you can get low options (I have a cloth/no nav/no sunroof in stock right now)

The big difference from US to Middle East is always the engine options.
4.0 petrol / 4.6 petrol (2nd batch)/ 4.7 petrol (1st batch)/ 5.7 petrol/ 4.5 diesel

Also to clear some things up - I actually talk with reps from TMC directly (not the "dealerships") The engine HP for a certain size is actually the same no matter where its going - the reason you see different numbers is because of the fuel quality. US/Euro/Asia has different standards for Octane measurements. This is the leading cause of HP difference.

(and the cat/muffler might be slightly different - but the engine is the same)

Congrats Oh Ren! Great to see another bonafide 200 owner. It looks very smart and still as capable. The vented seats also look great, how strong does the fan feel?

Driving to the dealer today to get the remote engine start installed on the cruiser. I got a chance to really use the dynamic cruise control. It is great in slow and go traffic and allows for her to follow along with no input on the pedals. It adjusts the speed all the way to 30mph and then turns off below that. Makes for a great drive. The seats blow enough to keep your back from sweating. It has enough force to feel it when it is on high.

Very nice !

Would you mind sharing pictures of the Low Spec'd VX-R ? How much do they cost ?
is it possible to get a gx-r with the 5.7 3UR-FE?

Since you have direct contact with TMC , can you order any specification you please on any trim , for example a standard g9 with a 3UR-FE ? or is that impossible .

xkennx you must have a super awesome job. Do you use a lot of cruisers or do some people make you use Land Rovers and Patrols? It would be nice for them to ship us some diesels. And that is just an assumption, are the Toyota diesels smooth and strong?
Please send pics, I've never seen a cruiser without all of the interior linings.

What is this dynamic cruise control and is it available for ME version LC?

Dynamic cruise control is radar controlled. There is a radar behind the Toyota logo in the front grill. You set the cruise control at whatever speed you want. When you do so there is a picture of your vehicle with three zone in front of it on the multi function screen between the speedo and tach. The zones are so you can adjust the distance you want between you and the vehicle in front of you by pushing a button on the steering wheel.
As you are cruising along the radar will pick up the vehicle in front of you at 400' and it shows up on the screen. If you are cruising at a higher rate of speed then the vehicle in front of you, your Cruiser will slow down and follow at the preset gap. The Cruiser will apply the brakes or accelerator to maintain that distance between vehicles. When the vehicle in front changes lanes the Cruiser will go back up to your set speed. This system only works above 30mph. If the vehicle in front of you slows down below 30mph an alarm will sound and flash on your screen signaling you to apply the brakes. And yes it turns off so if you don't hit the brakes you will be getting to know the driver in front. This alarm also comes on if you are approaching the vehicle in front at an higher rate of speed then your Cruiser can deal with so you can apply the brakes.
It is useful and fun. When the vehicle applies the brakes, little brake lights light up on the vehicle image on your screen.
I don't not know about were it is available.
