Gearing up to tackle a coolant valley plate job among a few other things while i'm in there and was wondering everyone's thoughts on aluminum radiators. The OEM radiator is original and would be good to swap it out and replace hoses, etc.

2010 Premium 149k

Currently $231 (sale ends tmr) on the OEM which has plastic sides which is prob perfectly fine but ya know for double the price I can go aluminum which appears to be marketed as more efficient, durable, etc. Thinking of a buy once cry once and was wondering if you all have any thoughts on single row vs double row radiators.

Here's the two i'm looking at:

$549 - CSF Heavy Duty, double row: CSF HEAVY DUTY ALL-ALUMINUM RADIATOR LEXUS GX460 - https://shopfigs.com/v5/C744
$549 - Mishimoto Performance Aluminum, single row: Performance Aluminum Radiator, Fits Lexus 4.6L V8 2010-2023 - https://www.mishimoto.com/performance-aluminum-radiator-lexus-gx460-4-6l-v8-2010-2023.html?srsltid=AfmBOooqY8a54nsEVFFk1N7gOzu1U3UGPYFxycTUL4RUAv74kH5egskX

Wondering which is more efficient and better at cooling. Everything else appears pretty identical.

Thanks in advance!

The OEM has plastic necks (I believe) I had to have mine replaced a couple years ago with probably just shy of 100k miles on the clock.
If you have the coin and the time, since it all comes out, by all means get an after market with all metal.
Other wise, carefully inspect your current radiator where the hoses clamp after you remove.
