Aluminium shavings in oil pan

Hi, I have a 2003 Landcruiser 100 V8 with 215000 kilometers and I have been noticing aluminium shavings in the sump when replacing oil for the last few oil changes. Has anyone experiened this before. Any ideas where it might be coming from. Oil pump?

bob, are you sure they are aluminum? Do they stick or a magnet or is it just at the bottom of the pan?

I would say it depends on the size of the shavings if you should be worried or not.
