Alternator Test Q

I never asked too many questions when I got an alternator tested. I assume it either passed or failed. My daughter had hers tested in Manhattan and she told me the results were it passed the diode test, but didn't pass the voltage test. So is that, a gotta replace it result? Or, wait and see what happens result?

So it is passing voltage one way but it isn’t producing enough amperage. Probably a bad integrated regulator.

Thanks for the offer. She replaced the battery. If she has anymore problems I'll just get an alternator and replace it next time she's in town.
